7 Holiday Gifts That Got Popular During the Pandemic

It’s the holiday season again, and many of us are thinking about buying or have already started buying holiday gifts. The LEO team is here to help with a list of affordable holiday gifts that exploded in popularity during the pandemic! Many of these items would make great stocking stuffers. Explore our ideas and plan to treat someone else (or yourself 😉)!

LEO’S LIST OF 7 HOLIDAY GIFTS THAT GOT POPULAR DURING THE PANDEMIC

1. Hand Sanitizer Holders

Hand sanitizer is a pandemic essential, and it goes without saying that no one wants it to explode in their pocket or purse. A huge variety of options emerged during the pandemic: cute rubber ones with cartoon characters to vegan leather pouches. Why not pick up a hand sanitizer holder that reflects your loved one’s personality?

2. UV Cellphone Sanitizing Cases

It’s 2021, and most of us take our phones with us everywhere, so it’s easy for them to become covered in germs. During the pandemic, UV cellphone sanitizing cases became very popular, and these would make a great gift for someone concerned about germs spreading during the holiday season.

3. Different Types of Masks to Avoid the Dreaded “Maskne”

During the pandemic, the term “maskne” emerged to describe the unfortunate acne that results from wearing a mask for long periods of time. To address this annoyance, many companies began innovating and creating more breathable masks, which led to the emergence of masks made of different fabrics, like lightweight cotton and silk. A silk mask would be a great gift for a family member or friend that appreciates luxury!

4. No-Touch Gadgets

In the early days of the pandemic, people weren’t quite sure how easily COVID-19 could be transmitted through contact with surfaces. Enter the no-touch door opener: a gadget specifically designed for handling the things no one wants to touch, like door handles, elevator buttons, keypads, etc.

5. Desktop Mute Button

When was the last time you were working from home during an important meeting when, out of nowhere, a loud noise interrupted you (and the rest of the attendees)? Sometimes, when these things happen, we’re too shocked to scramble for our mute button, and the noise goes on for longer than necessary. Nowadays, many companies sell a physical mute button that you can put on your desk and connect to your computer via USB: simply press the large button to mute or unmute yourself. Problem solved! Of all the holiday gifts in this article, this one might be the most altruistic. 😉

6. Ergonomic Work from Home Tools

Spending more time working from home during the pandemic caused many of us to realize how poorly optimized (and uncomfortable) our workspace is in terms of ergonomics. You don’t need to break the bank to make small improvements: a relatively inexpensive set of monitor arms, a laptop stand so your computer is at the correct height or a wrist rest to use with your mouse can go a long way. There are all sorts of ergonomic holiday gifts, big or small, that you could purchase to treat someone else or yourself.

7. Matching Loungewear Sets

Social distancing and lockdowns have resulted in most of us spending A LOT more time at home than we used to. Matching loungewear (not pyjamas: simply comfortable clothing sets, perhaps consisting of a sweater and a comfortable pair of joggers) have exploded in popularity: let’s face it, who doesn’t want to be comfortable (and arguably, comforted) during a global pandemic?
