Which device do you use most often to complete our surveys?
We asked this question to the LEO community on August 13, 2025.
Since a contest is currently underway, these numbers might catch your attention! In fact, more than 8,815 member took the time to share their preferred device.
So, what did the data reveal? If you answered smartphone, you’re clearly among the majority!
- 65 % of our members answer our surveys on their smartphone
- 10 % prefer a tablet
- 25 % still choose a computer or laptop
How do these results compare to the previous week?
To find out, we looked back to August 6, 2025, when we asked a nearly identical question: Which device do you use most often?
Out of 9,308 members:
- 72 % said smartphone
- 10 % said tablet
- 18 % said computer or laptop
As you can see, smartphones continue to dominate, by far. Meanwhile, tablets and computers trail behind with a more modest share.
This isn’t a scientific poll — it’s based on voluntary responses from the LEO community — but it clearly shows our community likes to complete surveys on-the-go!

A tablet is my go to for banking, messaging, calling, needed information for menus , photography and storing messages, reminder notes, comic relief, travel, artwork, ordering supplies, medical care, weather forecasts, puzzles, podcasts, Leo questions, calendar and calculator. This is utilized in more ways sometimes to quickly flatten a leaf, hide an object from someone, hide behind send a sympathy message an emoji etc.

For me it’s my mobile phone …it’s always in hand ND I could use it while travelling ..on bed …free time ..it’s convenient

I use my Tablet more than any other device, for shopping, Leo surveys of course, and it is getting very old and temper mental, like me. A new one would be fantastic 🙂

Would love to win a tablet! Easier on my eyesight. More comfortable to work with. Enables me to show items to 90/92 year old parents so much easier . I would research more…. Do more surveys…. I could go on! I would love a tablet!

I would love to use my tablet to FaceTime with my 11 grandchildren. I’m 67 and my phone is so small it makes me dizzy when the kids are moving around with the phone. A tablet would make a bigger screen for me to see them. I could also use for surveys.

If I won a new tablet, I would give it as a gift to my loving spouse, in all honesty. She’s an absolutely incredible lady that really deserves the best efforts from me possible! (And the tablet she currently uses is too old to update properly)

I use my android Smartphone to do surveys. Would love to win a tablet. A tablet would help a lot cause my vision is quite blurry when doing surveys. My phone is much too small.

If I were to win 1 of the 2 laptops from the LEO draw,
I would use it to:
FaceTime with my lovely Daughter and awesome Grandson.
Of course to read the surveys, and access content on the LEO app.Health wise a laptop would be a game changer.
Because the keyboard and touchscreen are larger, it would be easier to manipulate for painful arthritic hands and trigger fingers.
•The larger screen display would be much better for viewing. Less squinting and strain on the eyes.
It would also be nice to use it for reading novels, overall exploration of apps and research. -

I’d use the tablet to take surveys and participate on LEO more easily while also using it for reading and learning new skills as well as my schoolwork and research—it would really help me stay organized and keep up with assignments.

I would definitely use a tablet for school! The other day, I had to do an online class while sitting in my car during my lunch break at work. I was going to Hot Spot my computer from my phone so I would be able see the lesson, but it wouldn’t work, so I had to do the whole class on my phone. I missed all of the notes because I couldn’t read them – the screen was to tiny, and I’m a 53 year old student… a tablet would’ve helped out so much!!

I would use my tablet for personal online activity so I could avoid being on my small phone so much, or my work computer. It would be so much more user friendly!

I’d use my tablet to show my 102 year old mom family pictures. Easy to transport to the long term care home and larger screen than a phone for her older eyes.

I would give it (reluctantly) to my daughter, a 3rd year university student, who cannot afford one. It would help her study by allowing her to take notes on her readings and classes. Thank you for the opportunity to win!

I would use a tablet to complete my Leo surveys, and for work. I started my own business recently. I take a laptop to and from work everyday, but it is really heavy, and I’m starting to notice tension in my right neck and shoulder. A tablet would be much lighter, smaller and way more convenient 😁

Honestly, the ease of having a tablet will make my life more convenient. I would be able to use it at work for outreach mental health, with my kids if they need a distraction while out, and to search things on the fly. I’m a busy employee and mom, and this would be life changing!

If I won a free tablet, I would give it to my grand daughter who has learning disabilities and she would be able to use it to download apps to help her read better and do math questions without being hassled by her siblings. She could do it privately in her bedroom where it will be quiet to concentrate. That is what i would do with it if I won.

I would use my tablet to help my daughter with any online work she needs to complete for school. I’m sure she’d also use it on long car rides to Nana and Grampy’s house. For myself, I’d also use it for looking up recipes, surveys and ideas for home improvement/decor.

Interesting to see how many of us are moving back to computers for surveys! I usually use my smartphone because it’s quick and convenient, but if I won the tablet, I’d definitely use it for reading, streaming, and answering surveys on the go. Good luck everyone!

I would never use a smartphone to respond to a survey. My phone is for phone calls, texting, and on the rare occasion when I carry it with me (it usually stays home), a music player. I find the small form factor cumbersome and not ideal for most computer tasks.

I would use my tablet to answer surveys and to contact my elementary school students who I tutor in basic math, language arts as well as reading and writing skills. Although I can do that on my phone, the bigger screen would help my old and sometimes tired eyes 😊.

I have various ideas for this. One is that I would use it as a second screen when I am conducting training on Zoom. My desktop is the main presentation and the tablet would contain the group of people in the class to allow me to see what their reactions are to the materials I am teaching.
Additionally, I would use the dictation feature on the tablet for fast note-taking when my students are providing responses to my presentations, or for taking notes in meetings. Annotating screenshots and PDFs would be particularly valuable when organizing meetings. -
I’m retired,I taught myself how to use the new technology from old equipment people have given me. Never used or had a new piece of equipment. This tablet will probably be my last and hopefully my family will pass it on to someone in need as instructed.

My tablet is “dying” slowly. It’s my favourite device. So I’m forced to use my smartphone which is not as comfortable

I use my smart phone more often because it’s handy at all times. However if I get a tablet I will also use it because it’s wide enough for me to read anything at once without flipping left or right or scroll up or down.

I’ll be using my new tablet mainly for studying, and it’s going to make a big difference in how I stay organized and focused. I can take digital notes during lectures, read textbooks and PDFs without carrying heavy books, and keep all my study materials in one place. With a stylus, I’ll be able to highlight, annotate, and write just like I would on paper, but more efficiently. I also plan to use it to watch educational videos, join online classes, and use apps like Notion or OneNote to stay on top of assignments. Overall, my tablet will help me study smarter and more conveniently, wherever I am.

I am about to become a luxury travel consultant. I’m very excited because at the age of 57, I have finally realized that what I am outstanding at is Sales! I will absolutely require a laptop to research my clients needs and wants for their perfect vacations!

If I am given a chance to win the tablet this month, it would be a great help to use it for my daily living activities. As a mom raising a neurodivergent kid, it would be nice to have a tablet to use as a planner for therapies, treatments, and check-ups. It would also be perfect for my daily journal. I also participate in some free product testing and provide real product reviews. I mostly use a mobile phone but there are limitations on some of the applications.
