The State of the Pandemic
- 22% of Canadians report that they have or have had COVID-19 (whether they tested positive or not).
- 57% of Canadians who report that they have or have had COVID-19 rate their symptoms as mild. 20% indicate they had severe symptoms and had to stay in bed.
- 55% of Canadians think the worst of the COVID-19 crisis is behind us, an increase of 9 percentage points since February 7.
- The proportion of Canadians who are personally afraid of contracting COVID-19 is trending downward again.
This web survey was conducted from April 8 to 10, 2022 with 1,538 Canadians, 18 years of age or older, randomly recruited from LEO’s online panel.
