QUEEN ELIZABETH’S DEATH
- 77% of Canadians say they are not attached to the British monarchy.
- 48% of Canadians and 38% of Americans are likely to watch the queen’s funeral service when it is televised.
- 22% of Canadians and 16% of Americans indicate that Queen Elizabeth’s death has had a major or moderate impact on them.
- Canadians and Americans are equally indifferent (61% each) about the news that Charles is now king.
METHODOLOGY
This web survey was conducted from September 9-11, 2022, with 1,565 Canadians and 1,008 Americans, 18 years of age or older, randomly recruited from LEO’s online panel.
