Depending on who you are, you might feel very strongly about your answer! How about other foods, like cilantro? Do you add it to your food like it\u2019s going out of style, or when you think of it, do&nbsp;you grimace and wonder why people just don\u2019t understand it tastes like soap?&nbsp;In some cases (like with cilantro!),&nbsp;the taste of&nbsp;certain foods is based on genetics. In other cases, there is no genetic component whatsoever: we just know which foods we love and which ones we hate!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.legeropinion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Disgusted-woman.jpg\" alt=\"Disgusted woman\" class=\"wp-image-4736\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.legeropinion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Disgusted-woman.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/blog.legeropinion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Disgusted-woman-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.legeropinion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Disgusted-woman-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">POLARIZING&nbsp;FOODS: PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA, CILANTRO, SEAFOOD&#8230;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At LEO, we were curious about whether Canadians and Americans love or hate certain foods that are often&nbsp;quite polarizing!&nbsp;After all, it\u2019s just your opinion, but we listen to you.&nbsp;\ud83d\ude09&nbsp;In&nbsp;early April, we surveyed&nbsp;over 1,500 Canadians and over 1,000 Americans to ask whether they love, hate, or are indifferent\/don\u2019t know how they feel about each of the following:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Onions&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Mushrooms&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Pickles&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Seafood&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Avocado&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Olives&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Beets&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Pineapple on pizza&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Brussels sprouts&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Cilantro&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Bologna&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Kale&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Black&nbsp;licorice&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Blue cheese&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Tofu&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Anchovies&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What did they tell us? Keep reading to find out!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">THE MOST LOVED FOODS: ONIONS, MUSHROOMS,&nbsp;PICKLES, AND SEAFOOD&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among both Canadians and Americans, onions, mushrooms, and pickles were the most loved foods on our list of polarizing foods, with more than seven-in-ten Canadians and more than six-in-ten Americans&nbsp;saying they love each one. Among Canadians, blue cheese also made the top 3&nbsp;most-hated list, while among Americans, tofu was also&nbsp;in the top 3&nbsp;(tied with black&nbsp;licorice&nbsp;for second place).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.legeropinion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Hated-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Which polarizing foods are the most hated?\" class=\"wp-image-4743\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.legeropinion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Hated-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.legeropinion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Hated-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.legeropinion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Hated-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/blog.legeropinion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Hated-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.legeropinion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Hated-600x600.jpg 600w, https:\/\/blog.legeropinion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Hated.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">BUT WAIT&#8230;WHAT ABOUT PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA?&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Given how certain people we know have behaved when we\u2019ve brought up ordering a pizza with pineapple at a party&nbsp;(remember how those used to be a thing pre-COVID-19?), we were surprised to see that pineapple on pizza didn\u2019t make the most-loved or most-hated lists!&nbsp;In fact, <strong>54%<\/strong> of Canadians say they love pineapple on pizza, while <strong>28%<\/strong> say they hate it (and&nbsp;<strong>18%<\/strong> are indifferent).
