Are you feeling too tired to think of gift ideas for the adults in your life this holiday season? Are you uncertain about what your family and friends would appreciate most, given the difficult situation we’re in? Are you too busy with extra responsibilities brought on by the pandemic to go shopping, let alone decide what to buy?
LEO is here to help.
Last month, we asked the members of our Communauté LEO | LEO Community Facebook group what gifts they would like to receive for the holidays this year. With the suggestions we received and some of our own, the LEO Team created a holiday gift guide to give you a hand!
LEO’S HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE: THE PANDEMIC EDITION
1. Gift Cards
Gift cards are a great holiday gift for a few reasons:
- They’re easy to mail
- A seemingly endless list of stores offer them
- They allow the recipient flexibility to choose whatever they’d like to receive most
You may want to consider a gift card for a local business where your recipient lives, as suggested by one of our members!
Want to treat yourself too?
Don’t forget that LEO has several gift card reward options available to choose from when you earn 20,000 LEO points. Not a member yet? Sign up here.
Also, don’t forget that the LEO Advent Calendar is back this year! You don’t need to do anything special to enter this contest, and you could win 1 of 24 $100 gift cards! Learn more here.
2. A Subscription Box
If you have a bit more money available and you would really like to treat someone on your list, a subscription box could be a great idea: it’s a gift that keeps on giving! Often, you can order these boxes month-to-month or on a yearly basis. All sorts of subscriptions are available, including meals, coffee or tea, makeup, socks, and more!
3. Art or Crafting Supplies
The pandemic is leaving many of us with extra time on our hands, the vast majority of which is spent at home. You could help the artists or crafters in your life pass the time by doing one of their favourite activities: whether that’s painting, drawing, knitting, doing 5D diamond art, candle-making, or any other creative pursuit.
4. Coffee or Tea (Or Coffee/Tea Equipment!)
There’s nothing like a warm beverage prepared in the comfort of your home on a cold, grey day. Coffee or tea (or a new machine or press if you are comfortable spending more) could be a great gift for the caffeine-lover or master of relaxation on your list. You could choose an old favourite that you know they love, or a new variety they haven’t had a chance to try yet!
5. Cozy, Comfortable Clothes
The pandemic is taking the importance of being comfortable at home to all-new levels. The holiday season is an excellent opportunity to help the people you know stay comfortable. Some of our LEO members noted they’d love to receive a new bathrobe, slippers, or boots (all of which we think are great cozy suggestions!).
6. A Donation to a Charitable Organization
This gift is a great idea for someone who already seems to have everything, a generous person on your list, or someone who simply doesn’t want to receive gifts this holiday season. Many charities have fallen on hard times due to the pandemic, and donating to them in honour of someone you care about is a great way to lend a helping hand.
7. Honourable Mentions
Some of the other great gift ideas our members suggested include the latest technology (headphones, smartwatches, smart home devices, a new laptop or tablet, etc.), light therapy lamps, exercise equipment, home decor, and more!
Thank you to all of the members of our Facebook group who submitted their ideas!
At LEO, we listen to you, and we appreciate you sharing your honest opinions with us! We hope you enjoyed our holiday gift guide!
