The pandemic resulted in a huge boom for the video game industry. Video game industry titans, including Microsoft, Nintendo, Twitch and Activision have seen increased subscriptions and sales, as well as increased engagement.1 New gamers have realized something die-hard gamers probably knew all along: gaming is the perfect pandemic activity. It’s a great way to social distance, and gaming advances in recent years have led to more online multiplayer games than ever before.
With this in mind, we’re sharing our video game recommendations for 2021 with you, our LEO community! Some of the games were recently released, while others are scheduled to be released by the end of the year. We hope you find a suggestion on our list that you’ll enjoy.

Longtime Assassin’s Creed fans have come to appreciate the magnificent, immersive world it offers players. Valhalla is the 12th installation in the series, and PC Gamer rated it the “best Assassin’s Creed to date.”2 Pairing interesting history with epic Viking combat, this game is not to be missed. Don’t forget about the Wrath of the Druids expansion, released in May 2021.

As Dani Rojas, you’ll be part of a revolution in opposition to the local dictator, President Anton Castillo. As noted by PC Gamer, arcade mode and the map builder won’t be available, but Far Cry 6 is still a highly-anticipated release: hence why it’s landed on our list of video game recommendations.

8. It Takes Two (released March 2021)
