A Quick Guide to Understanding LEO Surveys

Just joined LEO and wondering how to find out when surveys are available? This article is for you. 

LEO uses a few different tools to help you stay on top of new surveys. To help you make sense of it all, we’ve put together this short and simple guide. 

Here’s everything you need to know to stay informed and not miss a thing. 

Email notifications and daily summaries to keep you in the loop

Each day, you’ll receive a daily summary by email or notification letting you know if new surveys are available for you. 

You may also receive occasional direct invitations, especially when a survey needs specific participants.

Keep in mind that a survey can close quickly, especially when the quota has been reached. Between the time you receive an invitation and when you click to enter, other members may have already completed it. 

Why do some surveys disappear?

Each survey targets a specific number of responses based on certain criteria. 

Once that number is reached for a profile type or demographic group (like age, region or occupation), the survey closes automatically.

Here are a few reasons why a survey might no longer be available:

  • The quota for your profile has already been reached 
  • The survey was targeting a different demographic 
  • You were redirected because your profile didn’t meet the study’s criteria

The good news? You’ll still be eligible for future surveys. All you need to do is stay active on the platform. 

Tip: Check your dashboard regularly under the “To Do Today” tab. You will find all the surveys you have not completed yet.

No surveys available? No stress

It’s totally normal to log in and not see a survey waiting. 
Most LEO surveys need a variety of participant profiles, but some are designed for specific groups. 

Surveys are sent to members whose profile matches those criteria.

Here’s what influences how surveys are distributed:

  • The requirements of each specific study 
  • Some profiles are more in demand depending on the topic 
  • Quotas may already be filled by the time you check in 
  • Invitations are sent randomly to ensure fairness across the panel

Even if no survey is currently available, your account remains active. 
Check back soon — new ones are posted regularly. 

You might receive a few surveys per week, per month or per quarter. 
And each time you respond, you collect points, earn badges and increase your chances to win rewards.

What if a survey ends sooner than expected?

Sometimes, you’ll start a survey and get redirected after a few questions. 
This simply means your profile didn’t match what the study was looking for. 

Even if you don’t finish the survey, you’ll still receive any contest entries shown at the start, along with a partial reward. 

How long does a survey take?

The estimated time is always shown before you start. This estimate is based on the average time it took members to complete similar surveys in the past. 

Some people finish faster, while others take their time.

Here’s what you should know: 

  • Some surveys allow you to pause and come back later 
  • Most surveys need to be finished in one session (you’ll be informed beforehand) 

Points, entries and rewards: what to expect

When you complete a survey, you’ll receive all the points and chances listed. 
 
If you’re redirected early because your profile didn’t match or the quota was already full, you’ll still receive a partial reward and the chances shown. 

A few tips to make sure you don’t miss anything

Even without a new survey, there’s always something to do on LEO.

Tips to help you remain active on LEO: 

  • Log in to your LEO account a few times a week — don’t rely only on our email invitations 
  • Check the “To Do Today” tab in your dashboard for current surveys 
  • Answer the Question of the Day 
  • Submit your own question — it might be featured 
  • Claim your badges
  • Invite friends to join and earn referral points 
  • Keep your profile up to date to receive more relevant invitations

    I’m just curious as to why there are so few winners with your contest from Atlantic Canada. I checked them regularly and rarely ever see anybody from Atlanta Canada. If there’s 100 winners, you might see one. I’m sure they’re just part of the random draw and there are more people outside of Atlanta Canada, who are participating in your surveys, but it would be nice to see some people win from this side of the country as well.

    How do people get picked for gift cards. The highest number of points used? Is that how they are picked each month?

To participate in these contests, you must bet one or more of your chances on the contest(s) of your choice. The draw for each prize is only conducted among the members who have bet one or more chances on that particular contest. To place a bet, click the (+) symbol, then click “Participate”.The more chances you bet, the greater your chances of winning. Let us know if we answered your request!
